Job Description: Job Title: Back-End Developer Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for a web‑based bioprocess optimization platform, integrating complex bioprocess models and ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability. Expectations: • 3+ years of Python backend/API development experience. • Cloud familiarity (GCP or Azure optional). • Proactive, independent work ethic with strong analytical skills. • Passion for sustainable alternative protein industry and quick learning of new frameworks and modeling techniques. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement backend services and APIs (Python, FastAPI/Flask). - Translate bioprocess models into software and collaborate with process engineers. - Integrate new data sources to enhance platform capability. - Write unit, integration, and performance tests; maintain clear documentation. - Deploy, monitor, and optimize services on cloud or other infrastructure. - Contribute to frontend components when needed (Vue.js/Nuxt). - Participate in DevOps/MLOps workflows, managing compute‑heavy and ML workloads. - Own feature lifecycle from design to production, ensuring high quality and reliability.
