**Job Title**
BIM Coordinator (Contract)
**Role Summary**
Coordinate, develop, and manage Building Information Models across design, fabrication, and construction phases for timber‑panelised homebuilding projects. Drive model accuracy, clash resolution, and integration with robotic fabrication workflows in a 6‑month contract role.
**Expectations**
- Deliver project‑specific BIM models that meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Enable seamless data transfer to fabrication and construction teams.
- Provide technical support and training for BIM tools.
- Participate in cross‑disciplinary meetings, including client presentations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Create, maintain, and update BIM models throughout the lifecycle.
- Coordinate with offshore modelers to align with project specs.
- Apply company and industry BIM standards, workflows, and data structures.
- Ensure design compliance with building codes, interpret code changes.
- Resolve model conflicts with architects, engineers, and trades.
- Conduct clash detection, model audits, and lead coordination meetings.
- Develop and implement BIM templates, content libraries, and innovative workflows.
- Integrate BIM data with robotics, manufacturing, and prefabrication processes.
- Provide technical support for Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related applications.
- Contribute feedback for custom Revit add‑ins and software updates.
- Manage liaison activities with drafters, truss designers, production, estimating, and mechanical/ electrical trades.
- Generate accurate production drawings aligned with schedules.
- Interpret customer information packages, identify errors, and seek clarifications.
- Present 3‑D digital walkthroughs in client coordination meetings.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud (3+ years professional use).
- Strong knowledge of residential wood‑frame construction, building codes, and BIM implementation.
- Ability to solve complex problems and propose scalable solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication with design, engineering, manufacturing, and construction teams.
- Experience with clash detection and model audit tools.
- Ability to provide end‑user technical support and training.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Architectural Technology Diploma, Structural Design Diploma, or Architectural Degree (required).
- 3+ years of relevant BIM coordination experience.
- (Optional) Certifications/expertise in MWF, AGACAD, Javelin, Mitek, or BIM implementation.
