Job Description
**Job Title:** Finance Assistant **Role Summary:** Support the finance team by preparing month‑end management accounts, trial balances, reconciliations and financial reports. Liaise with internal stakeholders, assist cash‑flow forecasting, budgeting and audit documentation, and produce ad‑hoc reports as required. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate and timely financial statements. - Maintain strong attention to detail and meet tight deadlines. - Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams. - Demonstrate initiative in continuous improvement of processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Compile month‑end management accounts up to trial balance. - Perform accruals, pre‑payments and balancesheet reconciliations. - Produce financial reports and key performance indicator analyses. - Support weekly cash‑flow forecasting and budgeting activities. - Assist with year‑end audit documentation and ad‑hoc reporting. - Engage with stakeholders across departments for effective information flow. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. - Solid understanding of current accounting standards. - Experience in producing management accounts and financial reports. - Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. - Strong communication and teamwork ability. **Required Education & Certifications:** - GCSEs (A*‑C) in Maths and English or equivalent. - Studying towards or holding a professional accounting qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, ACA). - Previous experience in an accounting or finance function is essential. ---
