**Job Title:** Vice President, Security & Protective Services
**Role Summary:**
Executive responsible for safeguarding the organization’s personnel, facilities, and assets across a 5 million‑sq‑ft campus with ~450 Protective Services staff. Leads development and implementation of comprehensive security strategy, policies, and incident response. Collaborates with IT, law enforcement, compliance, and senior leadership to protect people and information.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver a proactive security program aligned with organizational mission and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of safety, training, and operational readiness.
- Ensure accountability, performance measurement, and continuous improvement across the protective services division.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and oversee the security strategy, policies, standards, and guidelines for physical protection, access control, surveillance, and executive protection.
- Manage annual security budget, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and career development for ~450 Protective Services officers, operators, and dispatchers.
- Develop and execute training programs, drills, and competency assessments for all security personnel.
- Coordinate incident response, investigations, and reporting of security events, working closely with legal, operations, and external agencies.
- Partner with the Chief Information Officer and cybersecurity lead to integrate physical and cyber security controls (network access, monitoring, awareness).
- Maintain and inspect security equipment, firearms, and technology tools to ensure operational readiness and compliance with highest standards.
- Serve on internal committees and board panels to present security risks, updates, and strategic initiatives.
- Engage with law enforcement, fire, medical, federal agencies, and community partners to facilitate collaboration and emergency preparedness.
- Conduct independent security audits and implement recommendations.

- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics development.
- Training design and adult education for security teams.
- Knowledge of OSHA, state and federal regulations, and industry best practices.
- Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with IT, compliance, and executive leadership.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Minimum 15 years senior‑level security or law‑enforcement management experience.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent safety credential required.
- Preferred additional certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), or similar.
