Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior IT & Cybersecurity Engineer **Role Summary:** Hands‑on engineer responsible for the support, administration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, Exchange, on‑premise Active Directory, Windows workstations/servers, and endpoint security tools. Acts as the technical escalation point for cyber analysts and Microsoft engineers during an 8‑week contract. **Expectations:** - Contract duration: 8 weeks (full‑time) - Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, standard business hours - On‑site/remote support for a customer based in Somerset - Provide expert guidance and resolve escalated technical issues promptly **Key Responsibilities:** - Administer and support Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra, Exchange, and hybrid AD environments - Manage Windows workstations (7/10/11) and Windows Server (2008 R2 – 2025) platforms - Operate and maintain endpoint security solutions (SentinelOne) and SIEM platforms (SecureWorks/Taegis) - Oversee patch management for endpoints and servers across the organization - Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems, conducting research as needed - Serve as the primary escalation point for cyber analysts and Microsoft engineering teams **Required Skills:** - Deep experience with Microsoft ecosystem: 365, Exchange, Azure AD/Entra, AD sync, on‑premise and cloud - Strong hands‑on knowledge of Windows Server and workstation administration - Familiarity with ManageEngine Central, SentinelOne, and SecureWorks/Taegis (SIEM) - Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, and incident response - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and ownership of issue resolution **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience - Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, Azure Administrator, CISSP, CompTIA Security+)
