Job Title: Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Perception
Role Summary: Design, develop, and optimize Bird’s Eye View (BEV) fusion models that integrate camera, LiDAR, and radar data for autonomous driving and 3D scene understanding. Lead end‑to‑end perception pipeline creation, performance benchmarking, and production readiness.
Expectations: Deliver robust, scalable perception algorithms that satisfy quality management standards, meet quantitative benchmarks on large datasets, and are ready for deployment in production autonomous systems. Maintain adherence to QMS, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and tune BEV‑based perception models for multimodal sensor fusion.
- Benchmark models on large‑scale datasets using quantitative metrics (e.g., mAP, recall).
- Collaborate with research, data, and deployment engineering teams to refine models for real‑world applications.
- Ensure performance, robustness, scalability, and security for production deployment.
- Maintain compliance with QMS requirements, monitor quality metrics, and drive process improvements.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. or Master’s in AI, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Ph.D. new graduate or Master’s graduate with at least 3 years of industry experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
- Extensive experience with LiDAR‑based 3D perception and BEV representation models.
- Deep knowledge of multimodal sensor fusion architectures and techniques.
- Strong understanding of camera, LiDAR, and radar modalities, including synchronization, calibration, and integration.
- Solid foundation in computer vision, deep learning, and 3D geometry.
Preferred Skills
- Industry or academic background in autonomous vehicle perception, robotics, or related domains.
- Experience deploying deep learning models in production environments.
- Familiarity with distributed training, high-performance computing, or GPU acceleration.
Required Education & Certifications
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years post‑graduate industry experience (for Master’s).
