Quality Assurance (QA) Manager - High-Purity Piping
Job Description
Job title: Quality Assurance Manager – High‑Purity Piping Role Summary: Own and drive the site QA/QC program to ensure construction of high‑purity piping meets client, semiconductor, and industry standards. Manage inspection, testing, documentation, and audit processes, and lead continuous improvement. Expactations: Lead the QA/QC team, maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and client standards, deliver accurate documentation, and drive process excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement QA/QC plans, ITPs, checklists, NCRs, and sign‑off reports. - Inspect and test welding, piping, and installations against drawings, specifications, and codes. - Identify and document deviations needing client approval. - Manage Copy Exact compliance and FOD prevention across projects. - Conduct internal audits and support external customer audits. - Coordinate with design, engineering, PM, and field teams to resolve quality issues. - Train and mentor field QA/QC inspectors. - Maintain calibration and certification of test equipment. - Track, analyze, and report quality performance metrics; lead continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills: - Strong knowledge of semiconductor quality systems, cleanroom protocols, and contamination control. - Expertise in FOD control and Copy Exact principles. - Proficient in QA/QC documentation, audit processes, and quality management software. - Excellent communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with quality systems software preferred. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 5+ years of QA/QC experience in semiconductor construction or high‑purity piping. - Certifications: ASQ CQA, AWS‑CWI, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (preferred).
