Job title: Business Development Manager Role Summary: Lead and execute business development strategy for Real Estate, Corporate, and Litigation practice areas, targeting sectors such as art & culture, hotels & leisure, living sector, and luxury assets. Drive new business growth, expand existing client relationships, and support fee earners with opportunity identification, pitching, and relationship management. Expectations: - 18‑month fixed‑term contract, full time (Mon‑Fri, 9:30‑5:30). - Hybrid working, minimum 60 % onsite. - Deliver measurable growth in key sectors and cross‑sell opportunities across practice groups. - Provide coaching to partners and associates on client acquisition and CRM use. - Produce high‑quality marketing materials, directory submissions, and pitch documents. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement go‑to‑market plans for target sectors. - Identify and secure new business opportunities; prepare pitches and proposals. - Coach and mentor fee earners on business development techniques and CRM best practices. - Plan and coordinate events, campaigns, and client outreach activities in partnership with Marketing & Communications. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and identify potential cross‑sell areas. - Ensure consistent use of relationship intelligence tools and maintain accurate client data. - Prepare and submit directory listings and other public‑facing materials. Required Skills: - Minimum 8 years’ business development experience in professional services, ideally in law firms. - Proven track record of leading successful business development initiatives at a junior manager or senior executive level. - Excellent written and verbal communication, creative thinking, and organisational abilities. - High IT literacy, including advanced proficiency in CRM systems. - Strong analytical and strategic planning skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related discipline. - Additional qualifications (e.g., MBA, professional law-related certifications) preferred but not mandatory.
