Job Description
**Job Title** BI Data Analyst **Role Summary** Short‑term, full‑time analyst responsible for designing, validating, and maintaining data models and Power BI dashboards that support operations, compliance, and Scope 3 reporting for a global reverse‑logistics platform. Works cross‑functionally with Operations, IT, and external partners to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and actionable insights. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality, scalable BI solutions on schedule. - Maintain data integrity across inbound/outbound systems and external reporting requirements. - Lead monthly and annual validation cycles for the Common Collection System (CCS). - Train internal and external users on Power BI and data best practices. - Continuously improve data quality and reporting efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and maintain scalable data models using Power BI, Azure Databricks, and Fabric. - Validate and reconcile operational, audit, and financial data for accuracy and compliance. - Create, automate, and support standard and ad‑hoc Power BI dashboards for CCS, Scope 3, and Track & Trace. - Conduct CCS data validation cycles, distribute reports to Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs), and coordinate audit verification. - Develop new Scope 3 customer‑facing reports, implement Row‑Level Security, and add validation checks. - Identify and remediate data inconsistencies, duplication, and workflow inefficiencies. - Partner with Operations, IT, Product Development, and Continuous Improvement teams to resolve reporting issues and align analytics outputs with business goals. - Train and upskill users on Power BI, data systems, and best practices. - Provide data analysis and insights to support operational decisions and strategic planning. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Power BI (visualization, DAX, Power Query, data modeling). - SQL knowledge and relational database experience. - Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting). - Experience with Azure Databricks/Fabric and data connectivity tools. - Data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance capabilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Customer‑service orientation and strong organizational skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - College diploma or bachelor’s degree in statistics, engineering, mathematics, or related field. - Minimum 3–5 years of BI/data analytics experience. - Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (asset).
