Job title: Senior Digital Buildings Consultant
Role Summary: Lead end‑to‑end delivery of digital building consultancy, systems engineering, and integration projects for real‑estate portfolios. Drive technical strategy, project management, and client engagement to optimize building performance, sustainability, and cybersecurity.
Expectations: • Deliver measurable outcomes in energy efficiency, reliability, and user experience. • Meet project scope, schedule, and quality targets. • Maintain professional client relationships and uphold industry best practices. • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to growth of the digital building service capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and project leadership for digital building technology initiatives, ensuring SoW fulfillment and client objectives are met.
- Client requirements gathering, business‑objective alignment, and proactive stakeholder communication.
- Technical design and engineering of BMS, automation, lighting control, and energy management systems.
- Development of system specifications, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and operation descriptions using protocols such as BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, LON, DALI.
- Vendor‑agnostic solution consulting, custom engineering, and open‑protocol integration.
- Performance optimization through data analytics, fault detection, and controls tuning.
- Integration of sustainable design principles to reduce carbon footprint and enhance operational efficiency.
- Cybersecurity assessment and mitigation for building digital infrastructure.
- Development and dissemination of best‑practice frameworks, mentoring, and service capability advancement.
Required Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of building automation systems, BMS, lighting controls, and energy management.
- Proficiency in digital building protocols (BACnet, MQTT, Modbus, LON, DALI) and schematic design tools.
- Strong project/program management skills, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk oversight.
- Demonstrated client‑centred consulting experience and stakeholder management.
- Analytical skills for performance data modeling and energy efficiency analysis.
- Understanding of sustainability standards and green building design.
- Basic cybersecurity principles for building systems.
- Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical/Systems Engineering, Building Engineering, or related field.
- Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2) preferred.
- Certification in building automation, BMS, or related technology (e.g., Google Smart Buildings, BOMA Smart Building).
- Knowledge of or certification in sustainability (e.g., LEED AP, BREEAM) a plus.
