Job Description
**Job Title:** Director, Marketing and Communications **Role Summary:** Senior leader responsible for shaping and executing enterprise‑wide marketing and communications strategies that support business growth, brand integrity, and stakeholder trust. Reports to the SVP, People and Culture and partners with leasing, operations, and executive teams across a national real‑estate platform. **Expectations:** - Provide strategic direction and structure for integrated marketing and communications. - Enhance internal communication to boost leadership visibility, change management, and employee engagement. - Lead external reputation management, media relations, and corporate storytelling. - Deliver measurable results through KPI‑driven frameworks and continuous improvement. - Foster a high‑performing team culture, ensuring clarity, accountability, and high standards. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Build and lead an integrated marketing‑communications team with defined priorities and performance metrics. 2. Develop and execute enterprise marketing and communications plans aligned with growth objectives and brand positioning. 3. Strengthen internal communications, including leadership messaging, change communications, and employee engagement initiatives. 4. Manage external communications: PR, media relations, executive profiling, issues management, and storytelling across owned, earned, and shared channels. 5. Create and maintain editorial calendars, campaign frameworks, and repeatable planning processes. 6. Collaborate with leasing and operations leadership to produce marketing that drives leasing activity and tenant/community engagement. 7. Steward and evolve the corporate brand for consistency, relevance, and differentiation across all assets. 8. Lead digital and content strategy to optimize web, social, and corporate platforms for audience engagement. 9. Design measurement frameworks and KPIs to assess effectiveness and demonstrate impact. **Required Skills:** - 10+ years progressive experience in communications and marketing, with senior leadership responsibility. - Proven ability to build, develop, and manage high‑performing integrated teams. - Strategic thinking with strong execution orientation. - Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at executive‑level advising. - Expertise in brand strategy, reputation management, PR, media relations, and digital content. - Strong stakeholder influence and cross‑functional collaboration skills. - Data‑driven mindset with experience creating measurement frameworks and KPIs. - Resilience under pressure; sound judgment on risk and reputation issues. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (required). - Master’s degree or MBA preferred. - Professional certifications (e.g., CPM, PRINCE2, or similar) advantageous but not mandatory.
