About the Company

In 1991 Panos Manuelides embarked on bringing the delights of the Greek cuisine to the UK. He started out by selling premium Greek olives from a stall on Portobello Road, as it grew in popularity it soon became clear to Panos that there was a gap in the market for high quality authentic Greek products and so Odysea was born. Our aim is to be the first choice and point of reference for Greek & Mediterranean products. Our fundamental strengths are an extensive knowledge of Greek cuisine and the relationships we've built with our producers, many of which we've worked with since we began. Our goal is to maintain this expertise by continuous review of both our products and suppliers, whilst always focusing on our customers needs. Odysea prides itself in supplying products of the highest quality. Members of our team have searched the length and breadth of Greece and the wider Mediterranean region in search of the finest local producers. This allows us to guarantee a degree of quality and authenticity that mass production and sourcing methods may fail to match. As Odysea has evolved over so too has our award winning product range, from the truly authentic through to more contemporary flavours which have been inspired by traditional Greek recipes and are unique to Odysea. We have tailored our extensive product range to meet the needs of a host of customers from leading restaurants, hotels and gastro-pubs to quality delicatessens, independent retailers and department store food halls. A large number of products in our range have been awarded Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status. This is a geographical indication defined in EU law to protect regional foods. It acts as an assurance to our customers that they are purchasing a genuine, quality product.
