Job Description
Job Title: Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Role Summary: Lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and operations, focusing on secure infrastructure, incident response, and compliance. Manage a team of engineers and analysts, align security initiatives with business goals, and communicate risk posture to executive leadership. Expectations: - Deliver measurable improvements in risk reduction, compliance, and cybersecurity program maturity. - Demonstrate leadership in technical execution and people development. - Translate complex security concepts into business‑relevant decisions and secure executive/board support. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive cybersecurity program for servers, networks, and cloud environments. - Oversee security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence. - Partner with infrastructure and application teams to ensure secure configuration, patching, and secure coding. - Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures; conduct risk assessments and remediation. - Execute strategic initiatives such as Zero Trust, network segmentation, identity/access management, and advanced monitoring/automation. - Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning from a cybersecurity perspective. - Manage third‑party/vendor security assessments and ongoing monitoring. - Provide executive‑ready metrics, dashboards, and reports; present risk posture and program progress to leadership. - Mentor and grow a cybersecurity engineering team; drive culture of shared security ownership. Required Skills: - Deep technical expertise in server (Windows, Linux), network, cloud, firewall, VPN, SD‑WAN, and IAM security. - Strong incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and automation capabilities. - Experience with ISO, NIST, HIPAA, SOX, and other regulatory compliance frameworks. - Leadership and people‑management skills with ability to coach, grow, and influence cross‑functional teams. - Excellent communication skills for translating technical risks to business stakeholders. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent. - Proven track record of managing cybersecurity programs at senior level.
