Job title: ServiceNow Developer
Role Summary: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow solutions, ensuring platform reliability, performance, and compliance with federal standards.
Expectations:
- Deliver solutions meeting operational needs while adhering to security and policy requirements.
- Self‑manage priorities across multiple tasks, maintaining high quality and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain platform health, performance, and reliability.
- Configure and customize applications, including workflows, forms, business rules, and reports.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls per security policies.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Monitor logs and performance, proactively addressing potential problems.
- Coordinate upgrades, new features, and enhancements per release schedule.
- Document configurations, processes, and procedures for compliance.
- Evaluate new tools or changes for compatibility and long‑term suitability.
- Offer technical leadership on platform design, integration, and optimization.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years IT support or system administration experience.
- 3+ years ServiceNow ITSM development/consulting experience.
- Experience in Agile environments (Azure DevOps).
- Government or federal contract experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and multi‑tasking abilities.
- Platform configuration, upgrade, and troubleshooting expertise.
- Custom workflow, script, portal design, and integration proficiency.
- ITIL and ITSM best practice knowledge.
- JavaScript, SQL, HTML, CSS proficiency.
- Automated process and workflow implementation.
- Excellent communication and user training skills.
- Problem‑solving, root cause analysis, and cybersecurity awareness.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (preferred).
- ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred).
