Job Description

Senior IT Security Engineer Role Summary: Designs, implements, and supports enterprise cyber security solutions, ensuring compliance with IT policies and standards while collaborating across IT and business units. Expectations: - Integrate security in hardware/software selection and deployment. - Analyze system architecture for vulnerabilities and incident response. - Maintain security policies and prepare for audits/assessments. - Mentor junior staff and foster collaborative team environments. Key Responsibilities: - Research, design, and deploy security tools aligning with organizational policies. - Monitor logs for trends, security incidents, and threat intelligence. - Update security frameworks and contribute to penetration testing. - Train and advise IT security analysts on best practices. Required Skills: - Network security (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, IoT/cloud). - Database security, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware tools. - Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Perl). - Strategic planning and analytical problem-solving. - Written/oral communication for documentation and reporting. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT security/cybersecurity, or equivalent. - Five+ years of IT security/cybersecurity experience. - Valid Tribal Gaming Agency license mandatory. - Preferred certifications: SSCP, CEH, CISSP.
