Job Description: Job title: Scrum Master Role Summary Facilitate Agile practices for a multi‑disciplinary product team in the Property & Casualty insurance domain, ensuring efficient sprint execution, cross‑team coordination, and continuous improvement. Expactations - Lead and coach teams in Scrum ceremonies and Agile principles. - Drive backlog refinement and sprint planning in collaboration with Product Owners. - Resolve impediments, manage dependencies, and safeguard delivery velocity. - Align engineering, QA, architecture, and delivery leads on priorities and program goals. - Provide transparent progress reporting to stakeholders and leadership. Key Responsibilities - Conduct daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum events. - Prioritize and groom the product backlog with Product Owners. - Coordinate cross‑team dependencies for seamless product delivery. - Support PI Planning: story mapping, dependency identification, and facilitation. - Provide regular status updates on progress, upcoming tasks, risks, and blockers. - Champion adherence to Agile methodologies and Scrum rules. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and broader organization. - Remove impediments that hinder team progress. - Perform additional duties as required by the Delivery Lead or organization. Required Skills - Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, SSM, or equivalent). - 5+ years as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or equivalent. - 2+ years in Property & Casualty insurance. - Proficiency with Agile tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, Blueprint Storyteller, Trello. - Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal abilities. - Experience managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating across teams. - Program management skills: scope, schedule, quality, risk, and budget oversight. - Adaptability, critical thinking, and strong organizational skills. - Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). - Excellent verbal and written communication. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or high school diploma with equivalent relevant experience. - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Scrum certification required.
