Job title: Founding Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer Role Summary: Lead the design and deployment of production‑grade ML and AI systems that surface product opportunities and drive data‑driven decisions for product teams at scale. Expectations: 6+ years of end‑to‑end experience in production ML/DS, proven ability to prototype quickly, iterate on scientific rigor while shipping, and ownership of zero‑to‑one product initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain behavioral modeling, causal inference, forecasting, and agentic platforms. - Develop ML models that detect and surface product opportunities, integrating them into product workflows. - Ship learning loops that self‑improve with each release, ensuring models scale across industries. - Translate user insights into actionable product features, collaborating closely with PMs. - Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of ML solutions from data ingestion to production monitoring. - Mentor and set technical standards for data science and ML teams. Required Skills: - Python/Scala, TensorFlow/PyTorch, scikit‑learn, and SQL expertise. - Advanced knowledge of causal inference, probabilistic modeling, and forecasting techniques. - Experience with large‑scale data pipelines, feature stores, and model serving infrastructure. - Strong statistical background (Bayesian or frequentist) with a focus on reproducibility. - Product mindset: ability to discuss trade‑offs, prioritize experiments, and measure user impact. - Excellent communication skills for stakeholder alignment.
