**Job Title**
Senior Machine Learning Engineer (FinLLM / NLP)
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, fine‑tune, and deploy large language models and classical NLP solutions for regulated financial services. Lead the technical direction of AI products, ensure production‑grade performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI into cloud‑based platforms.
**Expectations**
* Deliver production‑ready LLM/NLP systems that meet latency, availability, and compliance requirements.
* Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence across the team.
* Stay current on AI, NLP research and apply novel techniques that provide measurable business value.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Architect and fine‑tune transformers and mixture‑of‑experts models using LoRA and other efficient training methods.
* Build scalable NLP pipelines; deploy models as microservices with CI/CD and MLOps workflows.
* Manage acquisition, preprocessing, and governance of large structured and unstructured datasets; enforce data privacy standards.
* Develop robust evaluation frameworks to quantify model quality, bias, and reliability.
* Contribute to DevOps practices: version control, testing, and automated monitoring in production.
* Mentor engineers, review code, and guide best‑practice adoption.
* Collaborate with product, data science, and compliance teams to integrate AI solutions into business processes.
* Evaluate and incorporate new AI research and tools (e.g., vLLM, NeMo) to enhance product capabilities.
**Required Skills**
* 3+ years of building, training, and deploying ML models at scale.
* Proficient in Python, NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
* Deep experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow; familiarity with transformer‑based architectures.
* Hands‑on with large‑scale unstructured data pipelines, API integrations, and cloud environments (AWS preferred).
* Strong knowledge of MLOps/DevOps: CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
* Experience with LoRA, parameter‑efficient fine‑tuning, and efficient training strategies.
* Ability to design and apply evaluation metrics for LLM outputs and compliance checks.
* Excellent communication, analytical problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* MSc (or equivalent) in AI, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
