Job Description
Job title: Charitable Giving Manager (M/F) Role Summary: Coordinate and execute fundraising and philanthropy initiatives within a higher‑education foundation, building and nurturing donor relationships, and supporting chairs and philanthropic projects. Expectations: Deliver measurable fundraising outcomes, adhere to campaign strategy, maintain high donor engagement, and collaborate closely with senior leadership across the university network. Key Responsibilities - Build and manage a portfolio of corporate, individual and foundation donors committed to the foundation’s chairs and philanthropic projects. - Contribute to fundraising team efforts and participate in the development of the overall campaign strategy. - Operationalize the strategy through donor identification, qualification, targeted mailings and fundraising events. - Manage and grow donor relationships, ensuring ongoing engagement and stewardship. - Deliver regular reporting on portfolio performance and fundraising metrics. Required Skills - Proven experience in philanthropy, major gift or corporate sponsorship within a non‑profit or higher‑education setting. - Strong donor acquisition and stewardship capabilities. - Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. - Project management ability with a collaborative, team‑orientated mindset. - Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in nonprofit management, business administration, fundraising, or related field. - Relevant certifications such as Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) or equivalent are a plus.
