Job Description: Job Title: Lead Backend Developer Role Summary: Partner with the CTO and IT team to design, develop, and maintain high‑quality backend services and new user interfaces for a digital hospitality platform, including migration to modern technologies. Expectations: 5+ years of engineering experience, bachelor’s or master’s in computer science/engineering, strong analytical and proactive mindset, passion for emerging tech and start‑up culture. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze requirements, propose architectural solutions, and estimate effort. - Design, code, test, and deploy backend components (REST/GraphQL services). - Develop and maintain user interfaces using Angular, ensuring seamless UX and responsive design. - Integrate with external hotel booking systems (Oracle, Infor, Mews, etc.). - Optimize performance, enforce security best practices, and audit code quality. - Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. - Support legacy codebase and plan phased migration to new technologies. Required Skills: - Proficient in Angular and MySQL. - Experience with PHP (optional). - RESTful API design, microservices architecture. - Familiarity with SSL/TLS, OAuth, and security hardening. - Unit and integration testing (Jest, Karma, etc.). - Strong Git workflow, CI/CD pipelines. - Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Engineering or computer science degree (3–5 years). - Minimum of 5 years in a senior backend or full‑stack development role.
