Job Description
Job title: Principal Engineer Role Summary: Lead the technical vision and architecture for a serverless SaaS platform that accelerates creative production workflows. Own the design and implementation of AWS serverless services, mentor a distributed engineering team, and collaborate closely with product to deliver high‑quality, cost‑efficient features at scale. Expectations: - Drive architectural direction and technical excellence for the platform. - Deliver code and features while maintaining speed and quality. - Mentor and manage a team of 14 engineers across time zones. - Resolve technical debt, optimize processes, and enforce best practices. - Communicate decisions with product and stakeholders, including prudent prioritization. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, build, and evolve Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and related infrastructure using CloudFormation. 2. Conduct thorough code reviews, set quality standards, and guide engineers toward effective solutions. 3. Dive into critical code paths to address bottlenecks and ensure reliability. 4. Translate product requirements into technical specifications and roadmap items. 5. Monitor AWS usage, performance, and cost; implement optimization measures. 6. Oversee CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and enforce IaC best practices. 7. Evaluate and integrate AI/ML services (e.g., Bedrock, OpenAI) into the platform. 8.
