Social Media Coordinator
**Role Summary**
Own and execute the social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook to grow brand relevance and audience engagement for a media and entertainment organization.
**Expectations**
- Increase engagement metrics and audience size.
- Deliver consistent, data‑driven content that reflects cultural moments and brand voice.
- Respond promptly to community interactions and coordinate live coverage of events.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage the social content calendar and publish daily posts with strategic optimizations.
- Operate social tools (Sprout Social, Later, Bitly, native in‑app tools) for performance tracking and reporting.
- Monitor and engage with DMs, comments, and conversations to build community and attract new followers.
- Provide real‑time social coverage at live events, filming atmosphere, capturing sound bites, and conducting interviews.
- Ideate and execute social‑first concepts that capitalize on trends, cultural moments, and film history.
- Edit and crop visual assets in Canva, CapCut, and similar tools for channel‑specific formats.
- Track platform updates, competitor activity, and trending topics; translate insights into content or strategy recommendations.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to gather assets, secure approvals, and align on broader marketing initiatives.
**Required Skills**
- 1–2 years of social media and content strategy experience.
- Strong passion for entertainment, film, and pop culture.
- Proficiency with third‑party publishing, listening, and analytics tools (Sprout Social, Later, etc.).
- Ability to create visual assets (Canva, CapCut, etc.) and trim/edit videos.
- Excellent copywriting, editorial judgment, and storytelling ability.
- Superior organizational, detail‑oriented, and multivariate calendar management skills.
- Effective communication via Slack, Asana, or similar collaboration platforms.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends for events.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
