Job Description
Job Title: Watershed Analyst Intern Role Summary: Assist in watershed resource planning, policy analysis, and green infrastructure design. Support data collection, modeling, and reporting to deliver actionable insights for environmental projects. Expectations: - Work independently and collaboratively in a flexible hybrid schedule. - Demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. - Exhibit high motivation, creativity, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, organize, and analyze watershed data (hydrology, water quality, land use). - Develop and maintain GIS maps, models, and databases. - Contribute to reports, presentations, and technical documents for clients and stakeholders. - Participate in project meetings, field surveys, and stakeholder outreach. - Assist in drafting policy recommendations, design guidelines, and sustainability plans. Required Skills: - Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS). - Basic modeling tools (HEC‑RAS, EPA SWMM, or equivalent). - Strong quantitative analysis and data visualization abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams. Required Education & Certifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Junior level or above) in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or related discipline. - Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. - Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular or academic projects. ---
