Job Description
**Job Title:** Project Manager **Role Summary:** Lead large‑scale utility projects within a matrix organization, ensuring delivery of scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives while coordinating with contractors, third‑party owners, and regulatory stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Manage end‑to‑end project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, closing). - Deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting performance indicators (SPI, CPI < 1.0). - Serve as primary liaison between client, contractors, and project teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define WBS, cost baseline, and OBS; develop comprehensive work plans. - Lead project teams, remove obstacles, and drive productivity. - Monitor and control risks, scope changes, schedule, and budget. - Implement and oversee quality, environmental, and safety processes. - Manage construction and commissioning oversight. - Resolve contract disputes related to cost, scope, or schedule. - Maintain communication plans, change control, and stakeholder engagement. - Coordinate with third‑party projects (transmission owners, interconnect customers). - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations. **Required Skills:** - Advanced project management methodology (PMBOK/PRINCE2). - Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. - Strong leadership, facilitation, and conflict resolution. - Risk, change, and cost management expertise. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (required). - Professional Engineer License and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (Client approval required). - Minimum 5–10 years of program/project management experience in large‑scale utility projects; at least 5 years in substation functional area.
