Job title: Compliance Manager
Role Summary:
Lead Radiant’s international compliance, export controls, and intellectual property strategy for advanced nuclear technologies. Navigate ITAR, EAR, and energy regulations while collaborating with engineering, operations, supply chain, and leadership to embed compliance into product development and global market entry.
Expectations:
- Develop, implement, and maintain export control and trade compliance programs across all product lines, including dual‑use nuclear and technology solutions.
- Interface with engineering teams to perform jurisdiction & classification determinations, ensuring accurate control of hardware, software, and technical data.
- Oversee licensing, exemptions, authorizations, and regulatory communication with U.S. and foreign agencies.
- Lead investigations, audits, and corrective actions for any compliance incidents, advising leadership on risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct export‑control jurisdiction and classification (J/C) determinations for hardware, software, and tech used in nuclear applications.
- Design and execute export compliance programs, including Technology Control Plans and segregation of controlled data.
- Manage export licensing, exemptions, authorizations; liaise with State, Commerce, Energy, and other regulators.
- Perform compliance assessments for export/import transactions; assist in investigations and audits.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, operations, supply chain) to embed compliance into product development.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reporting, maintain regulator relationships, and support global licensing frameworks.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of regulatory compliance or federal regulatory experience (U.S. government).
- Proficiency with ITAR, EAR, and energy export regimes; familiarity with DOE Part 810 and NRC Part 110 preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering concepts to interface with product teams.
- Project management, organization, time‑management, and communication skills for fast‑paced environments.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred fields: law, engineering, regulatory science).
- U.S. law degree (J.D.) and active state license highly desirable.
- 8–12 years of export control or IP law experience, including defense or nuclear technology exposure.
