Job Description: Job title: Data Scientist Role Summary: Develop, evaluate, and deploy machine‑learning models that drive AI‑augmented information retrieval, ranking, and semantic web solutions. Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing to translate ambiguous problems into measurable experiments and actionable insights. Expactations: - Own model lifecycle from prototype to production, ensuring robust performance and scalability. - Lead end‑to‑end experimentation, hypothesis testing, and impact measurement across offline and online metrics. - Translate technical outcomes into clear narratives for stakeholders and external audiences. Key Responsibilities: - Design and productionize retrieval, ranking, and relevance algorithms for web and AI‑assisted surfaces. - Build and evaluate NLP pipelines (classification, entity extraction, topic modeling, sentiment analysis). - Develop simulation and forecasting frameworks to test policies and stress‑test system behavior. - Contribute to knowledge graph and semantic web initiatives (schema design, entity resolution, downstream ML/GenAI). - Craft and present concise technical reports, trade‑off analyses, and strategic recommendations. Required Skills: - Strong statistical foundations, experimental design, and model evaluation expertise. - Hands‑on experience in information retrieval/ranking/relevance, preferably in AI‑augmented contexts. - Proven ability to build and assess production‑grade NLP models. - Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with PyTorch, Hugging Face, vector databases. - Comfortable with web‑scale data (crawl/index realities), noisy labels, long‑tailed queries, and sampling‑aware bias mitigation. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. - Relevant certifications in machine learning or data analytics are a plus.
