Job Title: Solar Project Prospecting & Development Intern
Role Summary:
Support the development of solar (and wind) renewable energy projects by assisting in site identification, technical and regulatory feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement, and proposal preparation. Work within a regional team to ensure projects meet economic, technical, and environmental criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Territorial Developer in identifying suitable sites for renewable projects.
- Analyze technical and regulatory constraints of potential sites, evaluating servitudes and compliance requirements.
- Participate in design of technically viable projects, including layout optimization and storage integration.
- Conduct pre‑studies covering technical, regulatory, environmental, and land‑acquisition aspects.
- Perform P50/P90 production studies using industry software (e.g., Helios 3D, PV Design).
- Visit sites and carry out necessary technical surveys.
- Engage with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders; manage initial contacts and meetings.
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and service providers, assessing technical and economic options.
- Prepare and support project proposals, including drafting, follow‑up, and renewal of leads.
- Contribute to external communication materials and presentations.
- Attend and facilitate meetings with local communities, elected officials, and administrative bodies.
- Continuously improve prospecting processes through tool development, methodology refinement, and best‑practice sharing.
- Perform competitor intelligence and maintain accurate prospecting activity reports.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in renewable energy design tools (Helios 3D, PV Design) and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of renewable energy regulations, permitting processes, and environmental assessment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Basic project‑management knowledge and organizational competence.
- Bilingual fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Current enrolment in a Master’s or equivalent (Bac+5) program in engineering, environmental science, renewable energy, project management, or geomatics.
- Demonstrated awareness of energy and environmental challenges.
- No specific certification required, but familiarity with renewable energy project development is preferred.
