Job Description
**Job Title:** Director, Data **Role Summary:** Lead strategic development and management of data systems to drive business decisions, guest experience, and operational efficiency. Establish data governance, AI readiness, and cross-functional collaboration. **Expectations:** Define unified data platform strategy, implement self-serve analytics, and enforce governance policies. Lead high-performing teams to innovate with AI/ML and Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric). Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across scalable architectures. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and execute enterprise-wide data governance frameworks and policies - Build scalable data platforms, data models, and analytics solutions for business teams - Lead data integration, ETL, and warehousing initiatives to support reporting and insights - Drive AI/ML adoption, predictive analytics, and machine learning implementation - Collaborate with IT, product, and business stakeholders to align analytics with strategic goals - Manage data teams, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence - Oversee data pipeline development, system maintenance, and compliance with regulatory standards - Educate leadership on data best practices and analytics ROI **Required Skills:** - Expertise in data architecture, governance, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) - Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, big data tools, and data visualization software - Advanced knowledge of AI/ML methodologies and predictive modeling - Agile project management and cross-functional team leadership - Experience with customer data platforms (e.g., Segment) and GTM system integrations (Salesforce, Marketing Automation) - Data storytelling and stakeholder communication skills **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or Data Science - 10+ years in data management, 5+ years in leadership roles - Proven experience in data engineering, analytics, and platform implementation - Certifications in cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) or data governance preferred
