Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Border region – 3 days onsite per week

Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Cybersecurity Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead and enhance the organization’s cybersecurity posture by managing threat detection, incident response, vulnerability assessment, and risk mitigation across internal systems and networks. Collaborate with business leaders to design secure architectures, conduct audits, and drive employee security training. **Expectations:** - On‑site presence three days per week. - Eligible to work in the EU. - Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration. - Ability to lead risk programs and deliver actionable security improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee incident management and forensic investigations. - Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies. - Maintain and update security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks. - Design and review secure network and system architectures with business units. - Execute security audits and ensure alignment with best practices. - Develop and deliver security awareness training for employees. - Manage business continuity and disaster recovery planning related to cyber risks. **Required Skills:** - 10+ years of commercial cybersecurity experience, preferably in large or multinational environments. - Proficiency with security tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection). - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in incident response and forensics. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work independently and lead security initiatives. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CRISC, NIST, GICSP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
