Job Description
Job Title: SOC Cybersecurity Analyst Role Summary: Contribute to clients’ security posture by managing vulnerability lifecycles, conducting threat intelligence, and enhancing detection capabilities. Deliver actionable reports, playbooks, and recommendations aligned with ISO 27001 and related frameworks. Serve as the operational liaison for a 24‑hour monitoring partner and support multidisciplinary teams in remediation and compliance efforts. Expectations: - Produce timely vulnerability and threat reports within defined SLAs. - Maintain up‑to‑date playbooks and detection rules. - Communicate complex security concepts to technical and executive audiences. Key Responsibilities: - Deploy, configure, and evolve the vulnerability management platform (e.g., Qualys). - Analyze and prioritize identified vulnerabilities; recommend remediation actions. - Track patch progress with client teams and document status. - Act as operational point of contact with 24‑hour monitoring partner, escalating incidents and coordinating responses. - Enhance alert relevance and detection accuracy across EDR, XDR, and Microsoft 365 environments. - Conduct daily threat intelligence scanning and produce threat‑analysis reports within 48 hours. - Update monthly SOC playbooks and share with monitoring center. - Support compliance activities, audits, and Zero Trust analyses. - Assist in anti‑spam, professional email compromise investigations, and configuration reviews. Required Skills: - • 3+ years of cybersecurity experience, including vulnerability management. - • Expertise with vulnerability platforms (e.g., Qualys) and threat‑intelligence tools. - • Strong analytical, prioritization, and risk‑assessment capabilities. - • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical issues to executives. - • Team‑oriented, self‑directed, with rigorous attention to detail. Required Education & Certifications: - • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field. - • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP preferred; ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/ auditor not required but advantageous.
