Job Description
**Job Title:** Assistant Data Scientist (Intern – 6 months) **Role Summary:** Support the Data Science/AI team at Dentsu Creative in delivering data‑driven solutions for agency clients, prospecting initiatives, and internal R&D projects. Work closely with the Modelling & Data Science Manager to translate business needs into analytical approaches, develop models, extract insights, and communicate recommendations. **Expectations:** - Proactive “do‑er” attitude with strong curiosity and client‑service mindset. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively across Consulting, R&D, Digital, and Creative units. - Excellent communication in French and English (written and oral). - High quality, detail‑oriented work with a focus on delivering actionable insights. **Key Responsibilities:** - Gather and interpret project briefs; define analytical methodology. - Perform data acquisition, cleaning, and exploration on structured and unstructured datasets. - Select and implement appropriate data‑science/AI techniques (e.g., machine‑learning models, NLP). - Develop and validate predictive or descriptive models using Python and/or R. - Create visualizations and dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) to present findings. - Produce clear, business‑focused reports highlighting insights and recommendations. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate analytical outputs into client deliverables. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in Python and/or R for data analysis and modeling. - Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational data models. - Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar). - Understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to apply them when appropriate, with attention to model quality. - Analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and ability to translate data into business value. - Good interpersonal skills and client‑interaction capability. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Master’s level (Bac+5) degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field. - No specific certifications required; coursework or project experience in machine learning, data engineering, or business analytics is expected.
