Job Description
**Job Title:** Deputy Manager (Clinical) **Role Summary:** Leads nursing and care teams to ensure regulatory compliance, quality patient care, and operational efficiency in a healthcare setting. **Expectations:** - Lead nursing teams, implement care strategies, and maintain clinical standards. - Support Home Manager in regulatory compliance and resident care optimization. - Foster collaboration with healthcare professionals and manage staff performance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supervise nursing teams through formal clinical supervision and mentorship. - Monitor resident care delivery, including infection control and medications. - Ensure compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards and health and safety regulations. - Develop partnerships with specialist healthcare teams for resident referrals. - Oversee record-keeping, audits, and incident investigations. - Conduct staff training and evaluate competency in medication management. - Facilitate nurse team meetings and maintain accurate care documentation. - Report to regulatory bodies and ensure resident confidentiality (Caldicott guidelines). **Required Skills:** - Leadership and staff management. - Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and clinical best practices. - IT proficiency for record-keeping systems. - Crisis management and decision-making in high-risk scenarios. - Effective communication for team and family interactions. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Qualified nurse with valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration. - Certification in PREP (Professional Education and Registration) and continuing NMC registration. - Familiarity with UK Health and Social Care Act (2008) and Essential Standards (2010). - Training in infection prevention, wound care, and catheter management (preferred).
