Job Description
**Job title**: Senior MSK Physiotherapist **Role Summary**: Deliver high‑quality outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy across multiple sites, manage complex caseloads, provide clinical leadership, supervise junior staff, and contribute to service development and patient group education. **Expectations**: - Full‑time preferred; part‑time possible (minimum 30 hrs over 4 days). - Able to travel between trust sites in a timely manner; must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. - Work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams, adapting to change and pressure. - Participate in patient group sessions (Back Rehab Class, ESCAPE knee class, shoulder class, Pilates). **Key Responsibilities**: - Treat and manage complex musculoskeletal patients in an outpatient setting. - Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation. - Provide supervision and professional development for physiotherapy students, apprentices, assistants and peers. - Contribute to service development projects and improvement initiatives. - Lead and run patient group sessions, ensuring consistent quality and patient engagement. - Collaborate with the Integrated Musculoskeletal service, including Community Orthopaedic and First Contact Practitioner teams and the Community Chronic Pain team. - Participate in clinical lead reviews and support clinical governance. **Required Skills**: - Advanced assessment and therapeutic skills in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. - Strong communication and teaching abilities for supervising staff and conducting group classes. - Leadership and team‑working skills with the ability to influence service delivery. - Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet clinical targets. - Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evidence‑based practice. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Qualified to practice as a physiotherapist (e.g., UK MPT/BPT or equivalent). - Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). - Valid UK driving licence and reliable vehicle for inter‑site travel. ---
