Job Description
**Job title:** Junior Analyst, Asset Management **Role Summary:** Provide analytical and operational support to the Asset Management team by preparing financial reports, monitoring portfolio performance, assisting with debt refinancing, managing capital expenditure projects, and performing detailed financial modelling to inform investment decisions. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate financial analysis and reporting on a timely basis. - Maintain strict attention to detail and rigorous data integrity. - Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, property management, lenders, and vendors. - Meet multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and performance metrics for the property portfolio. - Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support strategic planning. - Assist in executing refinancing initiatives: create financial analyses, lender due diligence packages, and performance updates. - Maintain comprehensive records of loan terms, covenants, and interest obligations. - Support CMHC‑insured financing underwriting (MLI Select) – prepare documentation and ensure eligibility compliance. - Plan and track capital expenditure projects: budget, timeline, vendor coordination, and completion reporting. - Develop financial models and market trend analyses to aid investment and asset strategies. - Compile and present information for senior management and investors. - Maintain financial and operational records and assist with investor reporting. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis. - Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications. - Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field. - Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in real‑estate or finance analytics preferred. - Knowledge of CMHC‑insured financing, particularly the MLI Select program, is a significant asset.
