Job title: Security Analyst Role Summary: Responsible for protecting enterprise systems and data by administering security technologies, monitoring for threats, managing vulnerability assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies in a large user environment. Expectations: - Maintain and support security infrastructure and tools. - Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents. - Implement continuous improvement of security controls and reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Administer SIEM solutions (e.g., Splunk) and analyze security alerts. - Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply remediation. - Manage and update third‑party antivirus, IDS/IPS, and Microsoft Defender applications. - Coordinate security monitoring for 1,000+ users in an enterprise setting. - Generate status reports and brief management on security posture. - Oversee security operations within a criminal justice or similar regulatory environment. Required Skills: - Proficient with SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and security monitoring tools. - Strong knowledge of security practices across multiple platforms. - Experience in vulnerability management and threat detection. - Ability to prepare clear security reports and brief leadership. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Minimum five years server/network administration experience. - Minimum three years information security administration in a large enterprise. - Minimum three years SIEM and vulnerability management experience.
