Job Description
Job Title: Vice President of Sales Role Summary: Lead and accelerate sales growth in the UK/Ireland region, transitioning from an individual contributor (“player‑coach”) to an executive responsible for building, recruiting, and managing a high‑performing local sales team while driving complex enterprise software deals. Expactations: - Own revenue targets and market share expansion for the UK/Ireland portfolio. - Establish a scalable sales structure, starting as a deal‑making coach and evolving into a leadership role. - Report directly to the Chief Business Development Officer and collaborate cross‑functionally with Marketing, Partnerships, and Product teams. Key Responsibilities: - Own and grow new business development across the UK/Ireland region. - Recruit, manage, and coach a growing sales team, including a small SDR squad (2‑3). - Close large strategic deals as an individual contributor during the initial phase. - Lead outbound sales and demand generation activities. - Develop and execute a territory strategy to land and expand target accounts. - Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns, events, and brand awareness initiatives. - Build and manage strategic partnerships and ecosystem alliances. - Drive the proposal, RFP/RFI, and value‑based sales pitch processes for complex service engagements. Required Skills: - ≥7 years B2B sales experience, with ≥3 years selling software services in the UK. - Proven track record of closing complex enterprise deals and exceeding targets. - Strong consultative selling, storytelling, negotiation, and executive relationship skills. - Ability to craft persuasive proposals and value‑based pitches. - Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). - Self‑driven leadership instincts and collaborative mindset. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Marketing, Engineering, etc.). - Certifications in sales or SaaS sales (e.g., Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant, HubSpot Inbound Sales) are a plus.
