Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Role Summary
Lead technical delivery of ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, CMDB, Asset Management, ITOM, and Service Catalog. Own architecture, configuration, and development activities, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise best practices. Collaborate with Agile squads, stakeholders, and ServiceNow product teams to deploy robust, scalable solutions on time.
Expectations
- Deliver high‑quality, fully tested ServiceNow configurations and custom code.
- Act as a ServiceNow subject‑matter expert, guiding users on platform best practices.
- Maintain and advance certifications, ensuring continuous learning and compliance with industry standards.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy workflows, UI configurations, and custom applications.
- Create and modify ACLs, business rules, scripts (Glide, Java, Jelly, Ajax), widgets, and portal components.
- Conduct workshops to gather Agile user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
- Interface with service-now product teams for technical guidance and integration (SOAP, REST, XML).
- Produce technical deliverables, documentation, and training materials.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, are delivered on schedule, and provide business value.
- Participate in SDLC, Agile Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban practices.
- Mentor junior team members on ServiceNow best practices.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of ServiceNow implementation in ITSM, CMDB, Asset Management, ITOM, Service Catalog, and IRM (GRC).
- Proven experience with SCCM integration, Service Mapping, Cloud, and Pattern‑Based Discovery.
- Strong knowledge of CSDM, data analytics, reporting, and integration patterns.
- Expertise in UI design/configuration, workflows, tables, fields, and standard list/list navigation.
- Hands‑on scripting (Glide, Java, Ajax, Jelly), UI Policies, and Access Controls.
- Agile project management proficiency and experience in client‑facing consulting.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to assess business needs and recommend technical solutions with cost/benefit analysis.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Risk & Compliance or TPRM.
- Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Optional: SAFe Product Owner, SAFe Implementer, SAFe Agilist, Scrum Master.
