Job Description
Job Title: Portfolio Analyst Role Summary: Monitors and evaluates risk and credit quality of corporate bank loans, conducts financial analysis, prepares periodic reviews, manages portfolio alert systems, and supports senior management with concentration reporting. Expectations: - Deliver accurate, timely credit assessments and reports for corporate loan portfolio. - Maintain compliance with covenant monitoring and regulatory requirements. - Support cross-functional teams and provide data-driven insights for decision making. Key Responsibilities: 1. Prepare detailed quarterly and annual credit reviews, including financial statements, covenant compliance, insurance status, and business performance analysis. 2. Perform financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and overall creditworthiness assessments for each loan in the portfolio. 3. Manage the portfolio alert system, sourcing updates from S&P and other news outlets to identify potential weaknesses in borrowers, shareholders, sponsors, and related parties. 4. Compile portfolio concentration reports by economic sector, country, industry, and market for top management. 5. Validate data and generate reports for Structured Finance and other internal departments. 6. Create, update, and maintain lending cloud ticklers for covenant and reporting compliance. 7. Ensure accuracy of credit documentation and data integrity across systems. 8. Produce active/past‑due tickler reports and communicate past‑due reporting obligations to client managers. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities. - Proficiency in financial statement analysis, covenant monitoring, and sensitivity testing. - Competence in database and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, or equivalent). - Detail‑oriented with excellent data validation and documentation skills. - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. - Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in credit analysis or portfolio management. - Graduate degree (M.B.A., M.Fin., or equivalent) highly desirable. ---
