Job Description
Job title: Software Engineer – WiFi Role Summary: Design, implement, and validate low‑level Wi‑Fi and 802.11 MAC‑level firmware and drivers for CEVA’s turnkey IP platforms. Responsible for system‑level architecture, tool development, and integration with embedded hardware, ensuring compliance with Wi‑Fi standards and performance objectives. Expectations: - Minimum 5 years of embedded software development. - Strong background in C/C++ for Linux and embedded OSes. - Deep knowledge of Wi‑Fi protocols (802.11), MAC/PHY layers, and system‑level software design. - Experience debugging across simulation, FPGA, and SoC environments. - Proficient in English communication and collaborative development. Key Responsibilities: - Translate Wi‑Fi standard specifications into robust software implementations. - Design and implement connectivity features, platform drivers, and macOS development tools in C. - Integrate software components into embedded platforms; validate on hardware targets. - Troubleshoot and resolve cross‑layer software issues, delivering maintainable solutions. - Document software architecture, APIs, and integration guidelines clearly. - Support internal teams and customers with issue analysis and timely fixes. - Drive continuous improvement of the development environment through technology adoption and process enhancement. Required Skills: - Embedded C/C++ development for Linux/embedded OSes. - Expertise in Wi‑Fi (802.11) MAC/PHY, protocols, and system software design. - Software debugging in simulation, FPGA, and SoC contexts. - Familiarity with development workflows from requirements to testing. - Strong written and verbal communication in English. Optional / Advantageous: - Bare‑metal programming and testing experience. - Integration of multiple wireless protocols (WLAN, Bluetooth, UWB, Cellular). - ASIC radio driver development. - Python programming. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field. - No specific certifications mandatory.
