Tyonek Native Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) in 1971. As a defense contractor, we concentrate our efforts on electrical and avionics manufacturing but also have capabilities in mechanical manufacturing, engineering and integration. Operating using an ISO 9001:2000 with AS9100:2004 Rev B certified quality system, Tyonek delivers on-time and quality manufactured Build-to-Print and Design-Build products to the Department of Defense and commercial entities.Tyonek regularly teams with other defense contractors, both large and small, to provide the best team with the most appropriate capabilities and past performance to meet the requirements of a particular program. We currently have employees in 15 states. Our corporate offices are in Anchorage, Alaska.

**Job Title** Shareholder Intern **Role Summary** A 20‑week, full‑time internship (30–40 hours/week) supporting diverse business functions across multiple Tyonek locations. Interns contribute to event planning, office projects, administrative support, community development, IT, construction, land management, manufacturing, and accounting tasks, gaining cross‑functional experience. **Expectations** - Complete no more than 480 total work hours. - Maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week; may extend to 40 hours as needed. - Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and a positive learning attitude throughout the internship term. **Key Responsibilities** - Plan and coordinate internal and community events. - Assist with office projects and general administrative duties. - Support community development initiatives and land‑management tasks. - Participate in IT, construction, and manufacturing related projects. - Provide accounting and financial support where required. - Collaborate with cross‑departmental teams and contribute to ongoing projects. **Required Skills** - Strong verbal, written, and listening communication. - Adaptability to shifting priorities and multiple tasks. - Team‑orientated, professional collaboration. - Resourceful problem‑solving and proactive engagement. - Integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct. - Dependability, punctuality, and responsibility. - Positive motivation and high energy. - Willingness to learn and take on new challenges. **Required Education & Certifications** - High‑school diploma or equivalent (preferred). - Current college or university student acceptable. - No specific certifications required. **Physical & Work‑Environment Requirements** - Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods. - Capable of climbing stairs and lifting up to 30 lb. - Works in a standard office setting with controlled temperature and lighting.
