Job Description: **Job title** Lead Data Engineer (F/M) **Role Summary** Lead design, implementation, and management of end‑to‑end data architectures to support data science, BI, and business teams. Direct a team of data engineers, ensuring high‑quality, scalable pipelines and continuous improvement of data processes. **Expectations** - 5–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Lead Data Engineer. - Strong leadership skills, capable of mentoring and managing technical staff. - Proactive, detail‑oriented, and innovative mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and oversee scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and related tools. - Mentor and coordinate a team of data engineers: task allocation, code reviews, and adherence to best practices. - Automate data workflows and optimize platform performance, balancing cost and scalability in cloud or on‑premise environments. - Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI analysts, and Product Owners to align data solutions with business needs. - Monitor industry trends, evaluate new technologies, and recommend architecture enhancements. **Required Skills** - Expertise in data pipeline orchestration (Airflow), batch and streaming processing (Spark, Kafka). - Proficiency with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases. - Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong programming skills in Python or Scala. - Solid understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and cost optimization. - Leadership and communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Cloud or data engineering certifications (e.g., GCP Cloud Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics Specialty) considered an advantage.
