Job Description
**Job Title** Network Engineer **Role Summary** Design, deploy, and evolve a globally distributed digital estate that powers over 33,000 digital screens, thousands of IoT devices, and edge connections. The role blends enterprise networking, IoT connectivity, cloud networking (Azure), automation, and AI‑assisted observability to ensure high‑performance, resilient, and secure network operations with minimal incident impact. **Expectations** - 3–5+ years of professional experience in enterprise or carrier‑grade network engineering. - Proven ability to manage complex, multi‑site, global networks. - Strong focus on uptime, performance optimization, and proactive incident response. - Comfortable working in agile, sprint‑based squads with tools such as Jira and Confluence. - Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, deploy, and optimise enterprise and IoT network infrastructure across on‑prem, edge, and cloud environments. - Configure and manage Firewalls (Fortinet), SD‑WAN (Cisco Meraki), VPNs, Azure networking services (vWAN, VNets, ExpressRoute, NSGs, VPN Gateways). - Support 4G/5G mobility architecture, APN configuration, and large SIM estate management. - Connect digital screens, edge devices, cloud platforms, and data centers to maintain seamless media delivery. - Automate provisioning, configuration, and compliance using Python, REST APIs, Terraform, or Ansible. - Implement AI‑driven observability, predictive alerts, and proactive remediation; instrument monitoring through DNA Center, Zabbix, SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP, Syslog. - Operate within agile squads, maintain documentation, version control, and shared ownership of network operational artifacts. **Required Skills** - Routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and network security fundamentals. - Hands‑on experience with Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, and Azure networking. - Working knowledge of 4G/5G, SIM management, and IoT gateway protocols. - Proficiency in automation scripting (Python) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible). - Familiarity with monitoring/observability platforms (e.g., Zabbix, SolarWinds, DNA Center, NetFlow). - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and structured thinking under pressure. - Effective written and verbal communication abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred). - Certifications: CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Azure AZ‑700, or Network+ considered strong plus. - Exposure to AIOps or predictive network automation, IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, AMQP) and data‑visualization tools (Grafana, InfluxDB, Power BI) are desirable but not mandatory.
