Job Title: Data Engineer with Data Bricks
Job Description: **Job title:** Data Engineer with Databricks **Role Summary:** Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines on Databricks running on Azure. Works with large-scale data ingestion, processing, and analytics, integrating Azure services including OpenAI/GenAI solutions. **Expectations:** - 3–5 years of data engineering experience. - Proven proficiency in using Databricks and Azure cloud services. - Strong Python programming skills. - Ability to collaborate across teams and deliver high‑quality data solutions. - Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks notebooks and jobs. - Manage Azure resources (Data Factory, Databricks, Storage, Synapse, GenAI, etc.) and ensure secure, cost‑effective architecture. - Consume, transform, and load data from diverse sources to data lakes or warehouses. - Implement performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting for big‑data workloads. - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to support analytics, machine learning, and AI workflows. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in Databricks (Apache Spark) for batch and streaming data processing. - Hands‑on Azure experience: Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure AD, storage, and GenAI/OpenAI services. - Python (PySpark, pandas, NumPy, etc.) and SQL proficiency. - Data modeling, schema design, and best‑practice governance. - Basic understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control). - Strong analytical problem‑solving and communication skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Preferred Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, DP-203, AI-900) or Databricks certification.
