Job Description
Job title: Regulatory Compliance Consultant Role Summary: Provide expert guidance and assessment of UK care services against CQC standards, conducting mock inspections and driving continuous improvement. Expectations: Deliver independent consultancy work, maintain accredited status, manage project timelines, and collaborate with care teams to achieve and sustain compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Lead mock CQC inspections across all domains (Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, Well‑Led). - Review policies, procedures, care plans, and compliance documentation. - Observe care delivery, interview staff, and gather service‑user insights. - Produce detailed feedback reports and actionable improvement recommendations. - Support services with action‑planning, readiness tracking, and progress monitoring. - Keep abreast of regulatory updates and sector best practices to inform clients. Required Skills: - Deep knowledge of CQC regulations, KLOEs, MCP/OLM frameworks, and compliance audit processes. - Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and identify trends. - Excellent report‑writing, stakeholder communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. - Proficient in developing and implementing quality‑improvement initiatives. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, nursing, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years experience in a CQC inspector or quality‑management role within UK health/social care (desirable). - DBS registration with rolling update. - Valid public liability and professional indemnity insurance. - Own vehicle with full UK driving licence.
