Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence Manager
Role Summary:
Lead the organization’s BI strategy and delivery, building and managing a cross‑functional team of BI developers, analysts, and data engineers. Drive data‑driven decision making, AI adoption, and a robust data culture across the enterprise.
Expectations:
• Deliver end‑to‑end BI solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Mentor and grow a high‑performance BI team.
• Champion data governance, security, and quality.
• Translate business requirements into actionable BI and AI initiatives.
• Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute BI strategy, including dashboards, reports, and advanced analytics (predictive, prescriptive, AI/ML).
- Oversee data warehouse and lake design, deployment, and integration with IT infrastructure.
- Manage resources, timelines, and priorities for BI projects.
- Enforce data governance policies, data integrity, and security standards.
- Stay current with BI/AI industry trends and recommend technology enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize data initiatives.
- Deliver insights to senior management in a clear, actionable format.
- Promote continuous learning and development within the team.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years in BI/analytics with 3+ in management.
- Hands‑on AI/ML experience.
- Expertise in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and Microsoft Azure services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse).
- Proficient in Python, DAX, Power Query, or R.
- Strong SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing skills.
- Knowledge of ETL processes and large‑dataset handling.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with cloud BI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Agile/Scrum project management experience.
- Additional: manufacturing domain knowledge (asset), advanced AI/ML tools (asset).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Power BI certification, or equivalent).
