Job Title: Social Media/Brand Strategist
Role Summary: Lead the brand and online presence of a rising NYC artist, developing visual identity, storytelling, and growth strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. Drive content creation, fan engagement, and promotional outreach to elevate artist visibility.
Expactations: Deliver a cohesive brand narrative, consistently grow audience engagement, and generate repeatable, trend‑aligned content that supports music releases and brand initiatives. Expect rapid learning, independent initiative, and measurable impact on follower growth and campaign performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute visual brand strategy: aesthetics, themes, color palettes, mood boards for singles, snippets, and video content.
- Plan, film, and edit short‑form videos (TikToks, reels, shorts) using CapCut or Adobe tools.
- Manage IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts accounts: schedule posts, respond to fans, build community, spark conversations.
- Coordinate content rollouts aligned with music drops: concept development, timing, and cross‑platform promotion.
- Pitch releases to playlists, blogs, influencers, and culture pages; support outreach and communication.
- Collaborate on merchandising, cover art, and future creative concepts ensuring brand consistency.
Required Skills:
- Deep passion for hip‑hop/alt‑rap culture and familiarity with emerging artists.
- Advanced knowledge of TikTok/IG trends, virality mechanics, and audience engagement tactics.
