Job Title: Security Engineer
Job Description: **Job Title:** Security Engineer – IAM & Splunk **Role Summary:** Responsible for logging, monitoring, and analysis of highly privileged access (HPA) across client applications. Partners with technology teams to assess log capabilities, onboard applications to Splunk Cloud, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership. **Expectations:** - Minimum 3 years total professional experience (or 5 years without a degree). - At least 1 year of engineering/architecture experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or related InfoSec domains. - Proven hands‑on experience with IAM technologies and Splunk Cloud (including SPL). - Ability to work in cloud (PaaS) environments and Agile settings. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain Splunk Cloud dashboards, queries, and reports to detect event patterns and trends. - Standardize HPA monitoring metrics and reporting for program efficiency. - Conduct interviews with application teams to assess logging capabilities. - Evaluate application logs for eligibility and facilitate Splunk onboarding. - Prioritize and communicate program deliverables, progress, and risks to senior leadership. - Recommend and implement mitigation strategies for identified risks. **Required Skills:** - IAM concepts: authentication, authorization, RBAC, etc. - Deep knowledge of Splunk Cloud and Splunk Processing Language (SPL). - Experience with cloud platforms (PaaS). - Agile methodology proficiency; familiarity with Jira and Jira Align. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field *or* equivalent professional experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Splunk Core, or IAM‑focused certifications) are a plus.
