Senior Network Security Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure and cybersecurity services for an international Space Agency. Deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions across diverse environments (bare‑metal, virtual, cloud, OT/IT) and support operational stability of classified systems.
**Expectations**
- Provide end‑to‑end operational support from deployment to ongoing maintenance.
- Ensure on‑time delivery, adherence to scope, and consistency with quality standards.
- Continuously improve performance, efficiency, and service delivery processes.
- Maintain strict compliance with security protocols, operational standards, and documentation requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and enforce security architectures for complex network environments.
- Perform threat, vulnerability, and risk analysis; develop corresponding mitigation strategies.
- Administer PKI – certificate lifecycle, issuance, revocation, and renewal.
- Manage and support infrastructure components: firewalls, routers, switches, virtual platforms, cloud services, storage, and backup systems.
- Operate and safeguard classified systems per agency security guidelines.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to align operational activities with strategic business goals.
- Monitor project execution, deliverables, and quality metrics.
- Document design decisions, operational procedures, and change logs.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of network security best practices and frameworks (ISO 27000, NIST CSF, ISA 62443, NIS, Common Criteria).
- Proven senior‑level experience in systems/network engineering or network security within an international setting.
- Expertise in security architecture design, threat modeling, and risk management.
- Practical knowledge of PKI, certificate management, and cryptographic operations.
- Experience with advanced network devices and environments (bare‑metal, virtualization, cloud, OT/IT).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional European languages considered an asset.
- Ability to work autonomously and within multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, CCNA (or equivalent).
