**Job Title**: IT Analytics Engineer Summer Internship – 2026
**Role Summary**:
An 8‑week paid internship focused on building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and analytics solutions for an enterprise data warehouse. Interns collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into data models, dashboards, and reports that support decision‑making.
**Expectations**:
- Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines (ETL/ELT) that ingest, transform, and load data into the warehouse.
- Create reliable, well‑documented dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau.
- Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, and lineage mapping.
- Adhere to data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Communicate progress and findings to stakeholders in clear, concise presentations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the full lifecycle of data pipelines: design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit data requirements and translate them into models and visualizations.
- Document data sources, flows, and lineage within the warehouse environment.
- Perform data quality checks and root‑cause analysis for discrepancies or performance bottlenecks.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports, applying best practices in data visualization.
- Participate in QA, testing, and deployment of new data warehouse features.
- Assist in implementing data governance, security, and compliance measures.
- Present analytic prototypes and insights to validate requirements and demonstrate business value.
**Required Skills**:
- SQL expertise and experience with ETL/ELT tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise data warehouse concepts and cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Minimum 2:1 classification in an IT‑related degree discipline.
- Familiarity with cloud data services, data modeling, or data engineering concepts.
- Certifications may include Microsoft Power BI, Tableau Desktop, or basic SQL certifications—preferred but not mandatory.
