**Job Title**: Back End Developer (Node.js)
**Role Summary**
Design, develop, and maintain scalable server‑side components for an AI‑powered digital wellness platform. Build RESTful and GraphQL APIs, integrate machine‑learning models, secure data, and deliver high‑performance services on Microsoft Azure. Collaborate with product, design, and front‑end teams to ensure seamless end‑to‑end functionality.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain Node.js microservices and APIs (RESTful & GraphQL).
- Design scalable database schemas (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and manage data access.
- Integrate AI/ML models for personalized recommendations.
- Implement authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT) and secure data handling.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB/SQL, Service Bus).
- Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests using Jest, Mocha, or similar.
- Document APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and Docker‑based deployment workflows.
- Provide constructive feedback in code reviews and help maintain clean code practices.
- Proactively monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend optimizations.
**Required Skills**
- 3+ years professional back‑end development.
- Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Git version control and workflow experience.
- Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, Cosmos DB, SQL, Service Bus).
- Testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).
- Authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, session management).
- API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Clean code principles and design patterns.
- WebSockets for real‑time features.
- Docker containerization.
- Strong problem‑solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, autonomous work ethic.
**Nice to Have**
- HealthTech or Digital Health application experience.
- Agile/Scrum familiarity (JIRA, Atlassian).
- Healthcare data compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Message queue knowledge (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Front‑end (React) collaboration.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
